The Awards

For over 35 years, the ACEC-BC Awards has been recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of Consulting Engineering companies across British Columbia.

The award recipients – individuals and organizations – are a testament to the consulting engineering profession, to the ACEC-BC membership’s shared belief we are better together, and the associations deep-rooted commitment to the professional community and the communities where we work.

👑 Lieutenant Governor’s Award

Presented by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, this award recognizes one winner amongst the recipients of the Awards of Excellence Awards.

🏆 Award of Excellence

The Awards for Engineering Excellence recognize technical excellence and innovation in consulting engineering. One award is presented in each of the following categories: Bridges, Buildings, Energy & Industry, Municipal & Civil Infrastructure, Natural Resource & Habitat, Small Firm Projects, Soft Engineering, Transportation.

🎉 Award of Merit

The Award of Merit is presented to up to three nominees in any of the project categories: Bridges, Buildings, Energy & Industry, Municipal & Civil Infrastructure, Natural Resource & Habitat, Small Firm Projects, Soft Engineering, Transportation.

💎 Meritorious Achievement Award

The Meritorious Achievement Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to the consulting engineering profession, the industry, and the community.

🌱 Future Leader Award

The Future Leader Award recognizes an early career professional who has demonstrated excellence in consulting business practices, outstanding achievements in their applicable fields, and leadership in the community.

💼 Client of the Year Award

The Client of the Year Award recognizes a client who encourages positive collaboration with consulting engineering companies through effective communication, fair and transparent processes, and respectful working conditions.

⭐ Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Award

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award recognizes individuals and/or organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion through their actions.
