As part of the Evergreen Extension completed in 2016, SNC-Lavalin designed and built the existing Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) in Coquitlam, British Columbia. To assist our client, TransLink, to meet its objectives to address the region’s growing transit demands, we expanded capacity the existing Coquitlam VSF expand with three new storage tracks to provide additional storage for 28 to 30 SkyTrain vehicles.

 Our project scope included design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, and integration of systems equipment and guideway elements, which comprised of running rail, special trackwork, ties and ballast, linear induction motor (LIM) rail, and power rail. We also completed the grading and construction of retaining wall fencing next to existing properties, as well as installation and post-installation checkout of automatic train control (ATC) equipment.
