Gurleen Gang, AScT., P.Eng., PMP

Municipal Sector Lead / Project Engineer, Ecora Engineering & Environmental

While most of us operate under the assumption that there are only 24-hour each day, Gurleen Gang – or GG – seems to have uncovered a dimension where time expands, allowing him to pack more into life than most of us can even imagine.

Gurleen’s passion for civil engineering was shaped by his childhood experiences in Kenya, which instilled in him a deep appreciation for the vital role infrastructure plays in supporting communities. After moving to Canada, he pursued a Civil Engineering Technology diploma at Okanagan College, followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

A dual registrant of Applied Science Technologists and Technicians BC  and Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Gurleen’s career focus in the municipal sector began with the City of Parksville and progressed through engineering internship in the consulting engineering industry while he completed his degree.

Since joining Ecora in 2021, Gurleen has consistently demonstrated his capacity to lead, inspire, and connect with his community, colleagues, and clients.

Gurleen shared his view that leadership is about creating pathways for others to thrive, a sentiment he embodies through his extensive professional and community service.

His contributions include student mentoring, serving on faculty advisory boards, participating in ASTTBC and EGBC initiatives, and tutoring and encouraging students with special needs. Within his community, he volunteers with local dance and paddling programs and offers his time to Interior Health’s palliative care program.

Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to others is necessary to achieve success in consulting engineering; the time Gurleen shares with his community is remarkable and we are fortunate he has found his place in our industry.
