The Klamath River Renewal Project is the largest dam removal and river restoration project in US history, involving the removal of four hydroelectric dams along the Klamath River to restore volitional fish passage to historic spawning grounds.
The Salton Sea Species Conservation Habitat Project, designed by the Knight Piésold-Kiewit team, revitalized over 4,000 acres of aquatic and terrestrial habitats along the shores of the Salton Sea, a below sea level saltwater lake in California.
The Corra Linn Spillway Gate Replacement Project revitalized a 90-year-old spillway on the Kootenay River. Knight Piésold served as the Owner’s Engineer, supporting the development of hydrologic risk management and innovative construction solutions.
