Jessica Lenoble has been driven by a desire to contribute to meaningful, lasting, positive change since she was, in her own words, “an awkward thirteen-year-old signing up for the Environmental Mind Grind trivia competition.”

Today, Jessica is a Professional Engineer with Kerr Wood Leidal, where her work as an Environmental Engineer helps clients better understand and mitigate the impacts of climate change on water systems.

A defining feature of Jessica’s practice is her ability to bridge traditionally siloed areas, connecting affordability, sustainability, and long-term system performance while still delivering practical and implementable solutions for clients and communities. Her work reflects a belief that engineering is not only about solving technical challenges, but also about improving quality of life and the environment in tangible and equitable ways.

Beyond her professional practice, Jessica has been a long-time volunteer with the BC Water & Waste Association, where she has supported conferences, development programs, and the expansion of the organization’s Young Professionals program. In 2022, her contributions were recognized with the Association’s Young Professional Award.

Building on that experience, Jessica was selected by the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association to co-chair and project manage the International Water Association’s World Water Camp during the IWA Congress in Toronto. Through her leadership in developing the camp and raising funds to support participation, 30 young professionals from around the world were able to take part in the event.

Outside of the water and wastewater sector, Jessica has contributed hundreds of volunteer hours supporting community programs through Science World and Eng-Cite with University of British Columbia, while also participating in environmental initiatives such as stream clean-up efforts.
