About the Project

Decisio is CIMA+’s next generation decision-support service that enables smarter, faster and lower-carbon building-design decisions from the earliest project stages. It provides a single point of accountability from concept to completion, helping owners, developers, architects and engineers manage performance requirements that increasingly drive early design decisions and project delivery.

A significant challenge for clients is the timing gap: early design commitments based on inferior or incomplete data can lead to late corrections, redesign, value engineering under pressure, construction coordination conflicts, and cost and schedule uncertainty. Decisio closes this gap using detailed energy models that reflect real building geometry and system configurations, then evaluating thousands of practical combinations across architecture, envelope, mechanical and lighting within weeks. It combines energy modelling, operational and embodied carbon assessment, and cost analysis in one workflow, so trade-offs are visible and defensible.

Scenario comparisons and a sensitivity analysis show which choices help achieve targets and which do not, enabling teams to focus on the options that matter while balancing performance, cost and constructability. Decisio also supports future-ready decisions such as electrification pathways, low-carbon materials selection, and resilience checks aligned with evolving codes and owner commitments. Shared visuals and clear reporting keep owners, architects, engineers and contractors aligned and support coordination and approvals with a transparent record of assumptions and decisions.
