Negin Tousi, EIT
Project Manager, David Nairne + Associates
Clear communication, integrity, and a contagious optimism are hallmarks of any experience with Negin Tousi. A project manager with David Nairne + Associates, Negin’s capacity for client engagement and excellence have made her a standout performer at work and in the BC water and wastewater community.
After completing a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Negin focussed her practice on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance at WSP before moving to her current role of Project Manager with David Nairne & Associates. There her work includes significant in-community projects for Indigenous clients.
On his experience working with Negin, Chief Billy Yovanovich of the Skidegate Band Council on Haida Gwaii said “…her role in the First Nations Infrastructure Investment Planning Program has set a path for our community’s development, demonstrating her drive for leadership and a forward-thinking approach in engineering consulting.”
Negin’s passion for her profession is evident in her significant professional service. She is currently President of the BC Water and Waste Association, a member of the American Water Works Association Strategic Planning Committee, and has past roles with ACEC-BC and the Canadian Water Network.
Negin shares her passion for engineering and supports career progression for the next generation of engineers as a mentor, speaker, and through Scientists and Innovators in Schools. She is also an active and long-term community volunteer, with a focus on wheelchair and adaptive snow sports.
The impact of Negin’s work over the course of her career so far, particularly her focus on community engagement and safety – two table-stakes for our industry – have supported her to build a highly credible portfolio of projects.
